It’s good to eat garlic soup in high altitudes. Many Sherpas recommend garlic soup to prevent altitude sickness.

Garlic soup made from fresh local garlic, unsalted butter, onions, cloves garlic, Dutch cream or Nicola potatoes, Sea salt and ground black pepper. It served with bread and taste good.

Another recommendation for food in high altitudes is Sherpa stew soup.

Most teahouses provide drinkable water. They boil the water and filter the water.

You can use your purify water bottle or Aqua tab to purify the water.

If you want mineral water, they also sell mineral water. Teahouses also sell other drink like canned juice and coke.

For boiling drinks, they sell coffee, ginger tea, lemon tea and black tea. Some of them have chocolate drink.

Many teahouses also sell alcoholic drink like beer. But it’s better to avoid alcoholic drink and caffeine in high altitudes.

It is always great to drink enough water to stay your body hydrate during the trail.
